Born on June 9, 1959, Benny Gantz is an Israeli politician and retired army general who has made a significant impact on both the military and political landscape of Israel. As the former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, he led the country through some of its most challenging times. Now, as a member of Israels government, he continues to play a crucial role in shaping the countrys future.

Gantz began his military career in 1977, and quickly rose through the ranks. He served in various combat units and held several command positions before becoming Chief of Staff in 2011. During his tenure as Chief of Staff, Gantz oversaw major military operations, including the 2014 Gaza War.

In 2018, Gantz entered politics, forming the Israel Resilience party. The party ran on a platform of security, unity, and social justice. In the 2019 elections, Israel Resilience emerged as a key player in the Israeli political system. Gantz subsequently became Minister of Defense and a member of Israels security cabinet.
